THE CHURCH BUILDING
"Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you."
1 Chronicles 29:16
A large fine Grade 1 listed building, dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, it is situated just off the town centre, tucked away behind the main shopping street.
Visitors constantly comment on the peace and beauty of the building. As with all historic buildings there is a continuing need for maintenance, with an inevitable pressure on finances.

A few years ago pews at the rear of the church were removed, and the area carpeted. This has provided us with an ideal open space suitable for after-service fellowship, Traidcraft, coffee mornings, and use during other events held in church

In as far as we are able, our aim is to make the building accessible to as many of our visitors as possible. For details on this please see our ACCESS page.
