'SAFEGUARDING' AT St. mary Magdalene PARISH CHURCH
You will be aware in recent years the term 'safeguarding' has come to prominence. This means protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.
The Church of England has recognised it has an important responsibility in this regard, and our parish has engaged in this process.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is committed to the support, nurture, protection and safeguarding of all, especially children and adults at risk of harm. We recognise that our work with children, young people and adults is the responsibility of the whole church community. To this end the PCC have adopted a Statement of Safeguarding Principles, a copy of which can be downloaded below.
